The following is a guide on how to get 99 Cooking in various ways.

Where to Cook

There are many places took cook in RuneScape, however, we've compiled a list of the most common locations and why.

Note: The chances of burning food when cooking on a range are much lower than when cooking on a fire.

Image Location Reason
Rogues' Den The Rogues' Den is the most popular location to cook. Although you'll be cooking on a fire, there is a banker right beside the fire.
Catherby The Catherby cooking range is one of the more popular range cooking locations because it's right beside a bank and it's easy to buy/sell your cooked food to players in Catherby Bank.
Lumbridge The Lumbridge cooking range is the most popular range location for low-levelled foods. The chances of burning food on this range are lower than any other range for foods from shrimp up to salmon.

Cooking Gauntlets

Cooking Gauntlets are a must-have item if you plan on going for 99 Cooking. They reduce the risk of burning lobsters, swordfish, monkfish, and sharks on both ranges and fires. At certain Cooking levels, they prevent you from burning these foods completely, which is why they are a must.

Cooking Gauntlets can be obtained by completing the Family Crest quest.

Below is a table showing at what levels you stop burning certain foods.

Lobster 40 74 68
Swordfish 45 86 81
Monkfish 62 92 90
