Default NOV 2K16 - who will/would/did you vote for in the US election?

It's only 8 days away so it's a good time to make a final poll

You non-Americans can vote in the poll too you know, hence the 'would you vote for' in the title

Why did you add so many candidates? I really only had heard of the top 5 candidates.

And I'd still vote for Clinton, though I do like her less than I used to, probably because she has done a lot of pivoting to become even more moderate, and because the campaign hasn't been about the issues as much as it was during the primaries.

Mostly as a joke, but about the first 10 are on the ballot in multiple states

Not 100% sure, but probably Jill Stein.

That being said, I think she's a dumbass and I think she's the wrong person to lead the Green party. The reason I'd vote for her is to help get the Green party to 5% nationally. That way the party can get federal funding. There needs to be a third (or more) major political option.

tl;dr I'd vote for Jill Stein, not for Jill Stein, but for the Green party

Why is this a poll

Meryn Trant: "You're an upjumped cutthroat. Nothing more."
Bronn: "That's exactly who I am. And you're a grob in fancy armor who's better at beating little girls than fighting men."

Do those extra options not already exist via primaries? I guess closed primaries and other obstructive rules could make them less fair to left wing candidates, but that's the only real downside I can see for running inside the democratic party.

The big reason not to run 3rd party is that swing states would be less likely to be won by democrats/greens so a democrat/green coalition wouldn't have as much power as they would do if they ran as one party.

If there are multiple parties on the right/left they'd always have incentive to merge to gain more power, so I think you'll need more change in the American political system than a change in funding to get more than three powerful parties long term.

I do like the Dutch system with 13 national political parties that hold power and work together through compromise and coalitions, but it might not be as good for the US as the US has a lot more of a leadership role than The Netherlands and therefore benefits from fast decision making.

tl;dr Vote Hillary.

Updated image.

Enjoy relying on Trump for defense.
